Call for evaluation tasks for the 9th China Conference on Health Information Processing (CHIP 2023)

The China Health Information Processing Conference (CHIP) is an annual event organized by the Medical Health and Bioinformatics Processing Committee of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPS). The conference focuses on using information processing technology to explore the mysteries of life, improve health quality, and enhance medical standards. CHIP serves as a vital platform for researchers and professionals from academia, industry, and government worldwide to share ideas and promote research outcomes in the field of health information processing. This area has long been a subject of significant attention due to its centrality in life sciences, health, and clinical medicine.

With the rapid development of large-scale models like ChatGPT, the medical and health field has encountered new opportunities and challenges. These large models not only enhance precision and efficiency in healthcare but also offer improved medical experiences and more accurate diagnostic results for doctors and patients. As a result, CHIP 2023 will embrace complex tasks of greater clinical significance to provide more accurate and comprehensive medical decisions and recommendations. Additionally, given the sensitive nature of medical data involving personal privacy, models need enhanced privacy protection mechanisms to ensure data security and confidentiality. Furthermore, to address these challenges effectively, large-scale model technology needs to strive for autonomy and controllability.

CHIP 2023 will continue to organize relevant evaluation competitions aimed at providing researchers with a platform to test their technologies, algorithms, and systems. Outstanding participating teams will receive certificates of honor and monetary rewards from the committee. Evaluation organizers will be invited to write summary papers, while award-winning teams will be invited to write technical papers. These papers will undergo expert review by the committee and will be published collectively. The conference sincerely invites scholars, research institutions, and enterprises in related fields to contribute CHIP 2023 evaluation task proposals. Participants in the evaluation competition will be invited to share their technologies, methods, and experiences.
